Tim leads, teaches, and guides GCC to accomplish the vision God has for it. Tim became Senior Pastor in January of 2022. He leads the church by seeking and establishing the vision and strategy. He leads and oversees the staff, and is the primary Sunday morning teacher. He and his wife Brittney have three girls– Andi, Wren, and Letty. They enjoy the farm lifestyle, hunting, and living a general outdoorsy, wild life.
Michelle leads and coordinates GCC Kids Ministry. She also helps lead the Hospitality Team on Sunday mornings. As the Kids ministry director, Michelle coordinates nursery and GCC KIDS on Sunday mornings, working alongside servers and preparing curriculum. Michelle also oversees all Kids events, including 'Kids Week' and 'Kidsmas'. Michelle and her husband, Kyle, have been married since 2011. They have two children, Briar and Knox. They enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking together.
Abbey organizes and streamlines office operations and procedures. As the Office Manager, Abbey receives office communications for our staff, helps maintain ministry and church budgets and reports, and oversees our finance operations. Abbey also helps lead worship on Sunday mornings and other events.
Brock leads our Worship Team and Discipleship Ministry, while also focusing on Care. Brock prepares the Worship Service for Sunday mornings. He also helps the Media Director oversee lighting, sound, and media to create a worship environment for Sunday mornings. Brock has a passion for music and has helped lead the Worship Team at GCC for years. Brock and his wife, Cassandra, have been married since 2007, and have two children, Jack and Peyton.
Jared coordinates and pioneers the vision of Domestic and Foreign Missions. He also co-leads the Hospitality Team on Sunday mornings and oversees the Building and Grounds. As the Missions Director, Jared oversees the visions, leadership, and details of all our mission teams and trips. Jared has served as a leader and trustee for GCC since 2009. He and his wife Ginger have been married for 15 years and enjoy their grandkids and life on the farm.
Tracy leads our GCC Preschool program & teachers. She has been in Early Childhood Development for 31 years. As preschool director she leads our preschool staff, curriculum, and special events. Originally from Gaffney, SC Tracy and her husband, Otis, moved to Oconee County in 2002 with their sons Jon, Graham, and Alex. Throughout the years she has served in various ministry areas, including overseas in Eleuthera, Bahamas and Africa. She enjoys cooking, playing cards with friends, and spending time with grandchildren Mason and Lyla.
Jake leads the Media Team, including physical media, online media, and Sunday morning Live Stream. As Media Director, Jake handles our social media accounts, website, and the production of our GCC Live Stream. Jake takes care of church-wide graphic design needs– from gift bag handouts to sermon series graphics. Jake is currently building a team of creative minds to push the limits for GCC Media. He has been married to his wife, Courtney, since 2016 and they have two children, Dallas and Kohl.
Jackson leads and coordinates our Refuge Students here at GCC. That includes planning events, weekly meetings, teaching, and counseling our students. He also directs our adult student leaders. Jackson graduated from the University of the Cumberlands with a degree in Christian Studies. He has been in ministry for over two years locally. He enjoys power lifting and gaming with friends in his free time.
Matthew works to make sure Golden Corner Church is always in working order for Ministry, Preschool, Events, and Sunday mornings. As the Facility Specialist, Matthew is responsible for making sure everything at GCC is in good shape, whether cleaning bathrooms, organizing, or getting the kids' rooms ready for Sunday morning, as well as our GCC preschool. Matthew has attended GCC since 2008. He is also a valuable server on both our Media and Worship teams.
